Frequently Asked Questions

Aseel’s DirectAid is a next-generation humanitarian support system designed to deliver aid with unmatched transparency and impact. Built on the success of helping over 500,000 people since 2021, DirectAid uses Omid ID Cards to ensure aid reaches verified individuals, and the Atalan Network (local heroes on the ground) to manage distribution. As a donor, you become part of a three-step journey:
  1. Send Aid, Choose and fund a package.
  2. Track Aid, Monitor progress in real-time.
  3. Receive Impact Proof of Delivery, Donors receive a photo, video, or message from the beneficiary showing the package they received.
Emergency aid is typically delivered within 24 to 48 working hours to the designated Omid ID holder anywhere in Afghanistan by our Atalan team. In rare cases, deliveries may take longer due to unforeseen challenges such as weather, security issues, or regional access restrictions. Aseel and Atalan are committed to ensuring every package reaches its rightful recipient as quickly and safely as possible.
Aseel charges a $7 Atalan fee for each delivery.
This fee directly goes to Atalan, the delivery service ensuring that the items reach the Omid ID holder on time.
Under Aseel’s DirectAid, there are multiple emergency packages available for donation, including:
  • Large Family Food Package
  • Emergency Small Food Package
  • Emergency Food Package
  • Emergency Package for Child Relief
  • Emergency Baby Care Package
Additional packages may be added based on needs and seasonal requirements. For example, an Emergency Winter Package will be introduced during winter months to address seasonal needs.
You can track the package you sent through Aseel’s DirectAid from (My Contributions) section in your profile or by checking your email for donation updates.
